Kerala bags the top performer award for the third time in the startup ranking by the Center. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that giving this honor to the country is an assurance that the start-up sector in Kerala is moving in the right direction. The government aims to launch 15,000 startups by 2026 Telangana, Kerala, Maharashtra and Odisha are the top performing states from category A. Gujarat and Karnataka top in Developing Startup Ecosystem category The states of Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Assam have made it to the third tier. The startup ranking of states has been determined by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. The ranking is based on the initiatives taken to develop the startup ecosystem to encourage budding entrepreneurs
