Constant effort is the key to being an entrepreneur: Payeli Ghosh

Payeli Ghosh, the co-founder of JIFFY.Ai, is a renowned name in the business field. She explains how to start a business and successfully take it forward. Payeli, whose career spans Sathyam Computers and Infosys talked about her entrepreneurial journey. According to Payeli, there are no shortcuts to becoming an entrepreneur. When you start thinking about a new venture, frustration begins to grow inside you. The key is to honour and maintain that. Sometimes, you may have a great idea, but your circumstances may be difficult. Do not worry about that. Continue to work. For instance, Amazon started as a small book-selling platform. Look at the way it grew!

An entrepreneur should always confront uncomfortable situations. Whenever you start a business, make sure that you have a proper business model that includes the idea, market, different phases of business, and ways to find funding. It is important to do thorough research about the market. If needed, go for mentoring in this regard with the help of incubators.

Just like the business model, financial planning is also equally important. Unfortunately, female entrepreneurs are not quite concerned about proper financial planning. If you want to understand and overcome the financial difficulties that may rise in business, you should have good financial planning. You should use the money carefully.

Another important aspect is to find out the right business partner. You should also give attention to the business scaling phase where you procure funding or best investors. For software-based businesses, it is important to pay attention to factors such as cloud computing and patent.

Payeli Ghosh was talking at the She Power 3.0 organised by channeliam.com in association with Kerala Startup Mission as part of the Kerala Innovation Week. To know more, watch this video.
