Tata Sons has appointed Campbell Wilson, a veteran at Singapore Airlines, as the new chief executive of Air India
Wilson was earlier the head of the low-cost airline Scoot, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines
He will step down from his current position on June 15
Wilson has worked in the aviation industry for 26 years
The Air India board approved Wilson’s appointment, subject to requisite regulatory approvals
Tata Sons has been looking for an executive to lead since it completed its purchase of Air India in January
