The Meta-owned platform WhatsApp is working on new features that would be available exclusively for WhatsApp Business Accounts. As of now, WhatsApp, one of the widely used instant messaging platforms in the world, offers free services to all sorts of customers. The new features, which would come under the ‘Linked Device’ section will, however, be on a subscription basis.

Reports say that WhatsApp is now working on an elaborated and updated interface for the ‘Linked Device’ section. In this new interface, WhatsApp will employ an entirely different description for multi-device. With this, users can add multiple devices to their accounts so that many people related to a business can interact with the customer in the same chat.

The ‘Linked Device’ feature allows one to access WhatsApp on multiple platforms such as computers, tablets or any other gadgets even when the main phone is not connected to a network.

The new plan is slightly different from WhatsApp’s existing multiple device system. As of now, one is allowed to link only four devices while using the multi-device option. With the subscription plan, users can link up to 10 devices to their WhatsApp Business Plan.

The paid feature will be an optional one. WhatsApp users who are not looking for an upgrade can continue enjoying the free services offered by the platform.
