Mercedes Benz has unveiled its long-range Electric Vehicle (EV) “Vision EQXX”
The concept car travelled over 1,000 km on a fully-charged battery
The travel from Germany to the South of France faced different climatic conditions
Around 15 per cent of the battery was still available upon its arrival in France
The average consumption throughout the trip was only 8.7 kWh/100 km
It is the longest distance covered by an EV to date
At the same time, it is a threat to Elon Musk’s Tesla which tries to capture the EV market
Mercedes plans to go fully electric by 2030
