Women pitch start-up ideas to 11 investors at TiE
The changing times have resulted in sprouting of new opportunities. Number of start-ups have increased and thus have prospective investors. These investors have a plethora of choices. Now let’s make their choices a tad easier. The solution is simple. Statistics prove women entrepreneurs show a return of 12% better overall performance return on the investment average and their start-ups have an impressive 35% higher Returns.
TiE helps in striking a proper balance and help women entrepreneurs attain full potential by exploring and engaging in business irrespective of the start-up size origin or background.
Tie has Stella leaders guiding them and the goal was to create a sustainable and easy to adopt program which clearly defined the outcome. Thus was held a pitch competition which had two phases covering every aspect required for a sustainable start-up. TiE Hyderabad organised the TiE Women Pitch Competition – 2022, an initiative by TiE Global to Embrace, Engage and Empower women entrepreneurs across the globe. It was held on Saturday at the Hitex Women in Business Expo 2022. TiE Hyderabad also successfully conducted the TiE Investor Connect – Women Special Edition!
The vision of TiE Women is to embrace, engage and empower women entrepreneurs, inclusive of all stages of an enterprise, origin, standing or background, across the globe.
The Mission of TiE Women is to provide a platform of sustainable and easy-to-adapt programming built on six pillars of Learning, Mentoring, Access to Funding, Scalability, Safe Space and Community.
Out of the 80 applications received from women-led start-ups, a panel of the Investor Committee curated and lined up 15 Women Entrepreneurs from various sectors who presented their ventures to 11 Investors. For deeper dialogue, investors have shown interest in at least 10 startups and will further engage with them one on one. Sectors represented were Manufacturing, Technology, Education, Fashion, Food, Health & Wellness.
