Nearly 2 months succeeding the takeover of Air India by Tata; they have now announced Mr Natarajan Chandrasekaran as their new chairman. Mr Natarajan Chandrasekaran an avid photographer and a passionate long-distance Runner has Marathoned his way into being the chairman of air India
He also chairs the Boards of several group operating companies, including Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Power, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) – of which he was Chief Executive Officer from 2009-17
Mr Chandrasekaran was noted saying that the entire nations eyes are on them .. it is true air India!we are all waiting eagerly to see you soar high and attain great success
The Tata group now plans to expand Air India’s network, modernize its fleet, spruce up its customer service and make it the world’s most technologically advanced airline, Chandrasekaran had recently said while addressing the airline’s employees. Improving Air India’s basic service standards, on-time performance, issues related to passenger complaints and customer call centres will be top priorities in the coming months for the group. Oh this is wonderful news for all the fliers who prioritise comfort above all.
Following a competitive bidding process, the government had on October 8 last year sold Air India to Talace Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Tata Group’s holding company, for Rs 18,000 crore.
Mr Natarajan Chandrashekaran expressed confidence that the golden age of Air India lies ahead. He postulated comprehensive knowledge aiming to preserve what is best about the past, which requires constant change. It is by evolving, adapting and embracing the future that we best honour a glorious history. And that I must say is a lesson the masses can correlate.
“Today is the beginning of a new chapter… I write this letter on behalf of the Tata Group, to welcome you to our family,” the Tata Sons chairman said.
A new chapter is most welcome and we sincerely hope mr Chandrasekaran takes air india skywards.
