New CEO and MD
Tata Sons has appointed Ilker Ayci as the MD and CEO of Air India. Ayci was the Chairman of Turkish Airlines. He will assume his responsibilities on or before April 1, 2022, Tata Sons said.
“I am delighted and honoured to accept the privilege of leading an iconic airline and to join the Tata Group,” Ayci said
Air India is the third airline brand in the Tata Group’s stable. It holds a majority interest in AirAsia India and Vistara, a joint venture with Singapore Airlines.
