Embrace 5G soon
Reliance Jio has completed coverage planning for the 5G network for the top 1,000 cities in India. The telecom major is augmenting its fibre capacity as well as running pilots across sites. Jio is running 5G pilots in multiple cities and network planning for the roll-out of 5G. This is done using 3D maps and ray tracing technology.
Auction next year
The auction for the 5G spectrum is expected to be held in the first quarter of the next financial year. Jio Platforms posted an 8.8 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 3,795 crore for Q3. It had posted a net profit of Rs 3,486 crore in the same period a year ago.
