Tata Motors has established a wholly-owned subsidiary for electric vehicles. It is called Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEML).
Tata’s TPEML
TPEML will exclusively look into passenger electric and hybrid vehicles. It has been formed with an initial capital of Rs 700 crore.Tata Motors will hold 100 percent shares of TPEML. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has issued the Certificate of Incorporation. TPEML plans to have 10 products by FY26 which will be a mix of different body styles and drive ranges.
