Banzan Studios has become the first startup from Kerala to get its campaign listed on Tyke. Tyke is Asia’s first online platform enabling retail investors to participate in startups.
Fundraising
Banzan Studios has closed its first-ever public fundraising round with 136.33% over the subscription. “We are humbled and elated. Tyke success is like a Mini IPO feeling,” Mukesh Dev, Founder, Banzan Studios said.
“Getting public trust in your dream is an overwhelming experience and with this small success, we aim to responsibly carry on and grow what we started last year; A first of its kind Character driven Digital Entertainment franchise, from India, for the World. Initially, we were a bit apprehensive as this was an entirely new concept,” he said.
“Tyke also is a startup and we were the first Gaming/Entertainment startup on Tyke. We were skeptical if the general public would like, understand and trust us with their money. However, startups never shy away from risks and this was a risk worth taking by all means. Platform like Tyke solves a very critical problem of raising small capital before you can take it to the larger investors or just to do a bridge round to finance your MVP or cover the journey till your big round closes as most of these big rounds take some time,” Mukesh said.
