6K charging stations across expressways

The government has chosen nine expressways to install 6,000 charging stations. Of this, about 3,000 will be installed soon, said Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey. According to the minister, the main concern when it comes to Electric vehicles.

 Locally made batteries 

About 30% of the cost of the EV is the cost of the battery itself. This can be reduced if it is locally produced, the minister said.

Challenges ahead

The sale of EVs in India has increased drastically in the last few months. There are various challenges that we have to counter, the minister said. They include the price and the charging infrastructure of EVs.
