Apple’s revenue surges

Apple CEO Tim Cook says the firm earned nearly one-third of its revenue from emerging markets.

It doubled its business in India and Vietnam in fiscal 2021, he said.

Apple posted a 29% year-on-year growth in revenue at $83.4 bn in the fourth quarter ended on Sept 25, 202. 

Its net income stood at $20.55 billion in the said quarter as against $12.67 billion last year.

Its total net sales stood at $365.8 billion during the fiscal year ended in September 2021.

Cook said Apple is optimistic about the future as they see strong demand for their products.

Apple was the highest growing brand in the September 2021 quarter in India, a report said.

It had a 212% y-o-y growth and led the premium smartphone market with a 44% share.

The brand maintained its leading position in the ultra-premium with a 74% share.
