The healthcare system is usually not affordable to commoners. They can’t afford medicines or medical equipment. How is it possible to make medical equipment affordable? Neha Mittal, a young entrepreneur had this thought. ‘One Above Health Care’, the Punjab-based startup helmed by Neha, was started to achieve this. This firm is providing medical equipment to pharmaceutical traders, wholesalers and dealers at low rates. They have up to 300 clients.
Neha’s startup started operations in 2018. OneAbove Healthcare was started with an initial investment of Rs One crore. Since then, the startup gained a 10% growth rate every month. The company offers 10 products, including a blood glucose monitoring system, glucose test strips, digital thermometer, oximeter, blood pressure monitors and nebulisers. In 2020 beginning, when the Covid-19 pandemic hit the country, there was much demand for thermometers and oximeters. At that time, Neha understood that her startup could play an important role.
The products are distributed at a price ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 1000. During the pandemic, medical equipment was provided to hospitals and doctors, Neha said. The startup functions in a B2B2B model. Products are distributed to pharmacies, wholesalers and dealers. From there it is delivered to pharmacies, chemist shops and online marketplace.
The firm has over 300 clients including the Kerala-based Heal & Cure. The company’s 50% of the products are produced in its production facility in Punjab. One Above Healthcare is committed to producing quality products even though it is offering equipment at lower rates. A person who is self-reliant and has financial independence can overcome challenges through continuous efforts. Neha’s success story gives this message.
