After facing a ban from Twitter and Facebook, Donald Trump will launch his own social media app.
The ‘TRUTH Social’ app would “stand up to Big Tech” companies such as Twitter and Facebook, Trump said.
“I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG’s mission is to give a voice to all”.
It will be created through a new company formed by merging the Trump Media and Technology Group and a SPAC.
The social network is set for a beta launch next month and full rollout in the first quarter of 2022.
A subscription video-on-demand service called TMTG+ featuring entertainment, news and podcasts is in the offing.
The firm eventually envisions competing against Amazon’s AWS cloud service and Google Cloud.
